Mini Grants
The vision of Mini Grant Program of Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) of the Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area is to cultivate an understanding of philanthropy and civic responsibility in the classroom. Students in area elementary and middle schools classrooms complete grant applications for student oriented classroom projects. Members of the Youth Advisory Council present the awards to the young grant writers in their classrooms, sharing with the students the importance of philanthropy in our community. In 2007, YAC gave prime consideration to grants that addressed healthy living and childhood obesity.
